Welcome to Families With Food Allergies (FWFA)

Families With Food Allergies is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating an awareness of food allergies and the prevention of food allergy reactions. We support initiatives that will lessen the symptoms and possibly find a cure for severe reactions to the eight major food allergens.

Most of the information on the website is available to the general public. To post questions in our forums, access documents in our library, and receive our newsletter, you must register (for free) by filling out a quick online form (click here).

Paid membership grants you access to Exclusive Forums, Downloads, and Recipes. Paid members also enjoy the benefits of online and live (phone) support, a walk-through of a grocery store for help in reading food and product lables, access to our monthly support group meetings and advance notice of all events (and discount admissions).

Our invitation to you
You are cordially invited to participate in our Support Groups. You may contact me by email, call or write using the information on our Contact form. We hope that the information provided in these pages is helpful and let us know what we may need to add.

We are different than other allergy and asthma organizations, because the medical community offers treatment for symptoms of allergies and we provide tips for coping with food allergies and more. If you are pleased by what you see here, please consider making a contribution. Your gift, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated. Also, please join our membership so that we may continue to fulfill our mission and vision for a cure. Thank you!

Help Wanted

Tuesday, December 25, 2007 (05:36:24)
Facilitators Wanted - Caring individuals to act as leadership hosts to small groups (3-20) that are learning to cope with dietary restrictions due to severe food allergies.  If you or someone you know has food allergies, a plus, but not a requirement.  We will train.

Become a Volunteer - People like you help to make the world a safer place for those with food allergies.  We need volunteers for a couple of hours a week or a block of time who can help with ideas and research, typing thank-you letters and data entry, coordinate special events, membership drives, folding letters and stuffing envelops, and more.  High school students in need of community service hours to fulfill graduation requirements welcomed!  Let us know what you would like to do as a volunteer and what your schedule is.

Apply to "Volunteers" in Contact Us form
