Families With Food Allergies

"It was very enlightening speaking to Families With Food Allergies in Solon, (Ohio)" commented Valerie Mariola, owner and baker at Valley Baker.  "I can't believe what you have to go through.  I asked one parent, 'How do you feed your daughter?'  She basically had every food allergy imaginable.  I asked myself, 'How do I care for this child?  How do I bake just for her?'  That is a real challenge.  I am a baker in the Chagrin Valley area of Ohio and I currently have six families with food allergies in their family that seeks me out for their special occasions.  I cannot accommodate all food allergies, but I can do special requests to not include nuts, eggs and milk.  I try my best.  It was a pleasure meeting all of you."
